PocketMoon app for iPhone and iPad

PocketMoon is an Augmented Reality App. It shows the actual position of the moon and its orbit as an overlay to the camera image of your iPhone. This is done in realtime for your current environment (position, orientation, time and date). This does not require any manual input.

However it is possible to enter any arbitrary date to show moon orbits in the past and in the future. Also the position on earth can be set. This is done comfortably based on an integrated database containing all cities on earth with more than 15,000 inhabitants.

PocketMoon is applicable in many ways.

Photographers and filmmakers are enabled to prearrange impressive pictures and shoots.

Amateur astronomers can set up their telescopes in optimal positions.

PocketMoon shows the moon orbit also indoor. It shows immediately if the moon will pass inside or outside of a window aperture. Moon enthusiasts as well as moon sensitive humans will have benefit.
